Thomas Sakaris
Founder and Principal
Tom Sakaris is Principal and Founder of Hanover Square Advisors (HSA). Tom brings to HSA the unique qualities of executive experience coupled with a comprehensive understanding of securities markets, broker/dealer operations and financial market infrastructures. Prior to founding HSA, Tom held leadership positions at the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) and Citi Global Markets.
As an advocate for the financial services industry, Tom has served on numerous trade organizations. He is past President of the Securities Operations Division, a division of the Securities Industry Financial Markets Association, (SIFMA). He also served on the board of directors of the MBS Clearing Corporation (MBSCC), the executive committee of the Global Association of Central Counterparties (CCP12), and the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE).
Tom earned his Executive MBA from the Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College.
